Kind Words

‘Sarah came to support us when our daughter was around 4 weeks old, she hadn’t been gaining enough weight and I’d been told she had immature sucking skills.

Sarah has a really calming presence and we appreciated that she focused on what Maya could do and was doing, rather than what was wrong with her. She was extremely knowledgeable, reassuring and kind, and made gentle suggestions on how we could adjust things. She also came equipped with some feeding tools that we tried together during her visit.

She followed her in-person visit up with an email with links and a recap of the feeding plan we’d discussed. She also offered further Whatsapp followup support which was reassuring to have for quick questions that arose later on. Both of these reinforced what we’d learned in the appointment and meant we could go back to recap when we needed to.

We’d fully recommend Sarah to anyone struggling to establish breastfeeding in the early days!’

‘I was having trouble breastfeeding with my baby who refused to go anywhere near me. I had seen multiple people who were unable to help me. I was so stressed! I was advised to go and see Sarah and to be honest, she was my last resort – I was ready to give up. She spent the time with me in a calming environment and talked me through it. Quite early on in the session he was feeding from me with the use of nipple shields for the first time ever, I managed to continue to feed him throughout adjusting where needed. I am now exclusively breast feeding! I honestly cannot believe it and I am so so thankful to Sarah for the help. She was so lovely, kind and patient! I would suggest anyone having trouble with breast feeding or needing some good advice to definitely go and see her.’

‘I would highly recommend Sarah, my breastfeeding journey was far from easy at the start and I felt overwhelmed, exhausted, and close to giving up.

Sarah’s kind nature, calm and patient approach along with her knowledge, and genuine compassion made all the difference. She guided me step by step with practical advice and encouragement, setting me up with plans to help me through my breastfeeding journey.

Because of her, I was able to overcome challenges I didn’t think I could get through. She empowered me with the tools and belief I needed to continue, and without her support, I truly don’t think I would have been able to do it.

I will always be incredibly thankful for the role she played in this journey. Her care has had a lasting impact on both me and my baby, and I would wholeheartedly recommend her to any parent needing support.‘

‘My breastfeeding experience has been very challenging, with going and varying challenges at different times including struggling with supply, latching, milk transfer on top of my baby having reflux, cows milk protein allergy and not gaining weight. Sarah helped me through all of this and I wouldn’t be breastfeeding today if it wasn’t for her support and guidance.

I saw Sarah within a few days of my baby begin born, having been admitted into hospital and having my baby go nil by mouth for over 7 hours and not having a pump with me just as my milk was coming in. Sarah responded to the situation straight away with email and in person advice regarding pumping for my supply, latching techniques and hold positions to try including sending links to articles and videos. In person she did a full assessment of our feeding and overall situation, taking a whole picture approach. I was instantly put at ease by Sarah’s friendly, warm and empathic approach.

She has a wealth of knowledge and extensive experience which she shares with kindness and without judgement. She works with you and your baby to listen to your challenges, understand your needs and then applies different methods and tools in order to help maintain breastfeeding.

Her encouragement and positivity gave me the confidence, determination and resilience to continue to breast feed. She also helped me to understand that there is a rainbow of ways to breast feed, with no right or wrong way. This enabled and empowered me to find my own way, which was different from how I had imagined, to breast feed my baby rather than give up at each hurdle.

Sarah gave me clear guidance and has continued to support us, including keeping in touch and pointing me to information if needed.

After a session with Sarah, you will feel empowered, confident, informed and encouraged.

I am so grateful to Sarah for all the support she offered us and I would highly recommend her.’

‘I booked a lactation consultation with Sarah as I was experiencing some breastfeeding challenges with my newborn. She carried out thorough checks to identify what might be causing the latch issues and provided a range of helpful advice and techniques to support getting breastfeeding back on track.

Sarah was incredibly supportive and never made me feel rushed. She focused on what I needed rather than watching the clock, which I really appreciated. She also provided nipple shields and observed a feed so she could offer practical guidance and small adjustments that made a real difference.

I’m so grateful for the support I received and couldn’t recommend Sarah highly enough to any new mums who may need that extra help.’
